Mae Haad beach is a well visited beach offering excellent swimming and diving. Most of the boat tours stop here and all the diving schools bring their customers here to enjoy diving onto the coral reef lay that lies just offshore.
There is an elephant trekking camp on the ring road just above the beach which takes clients through the jungle and onto the view point overlooking Mae Haad bay. Koh Ma is a small island just a few hundred metres offshore from Mae Haad beach. At low tide the two land masses are connected through a sand bar and it is easy to walk acroos to the small island.
